Eric & Parrish Makin' Duds

After the relative dissapointment that was the latest EPMD album, We Mean Business, (given todays current climate it might have been better named Business Is A Bit Slow} i thought it no better time to cast our minds back to the earlier career of one raps most storied and esteemed duo's. Before thier initial break-up in '93 they put out four classic records in quick succession. 88's Strictly Business, 89's Unfinished Business, 90's Business As Usual and 92's Business Never Personal. Reppin' Long Island they maintained a distinctive sample heavy sound that stood out amongst many of raps more abrasive and popular groups during that era (Public Enemy, NWA etc). With laid back drawl like flows, they spat some of raps most quotable moments. Braggin' about bozacks, sucker mc's or just tryin to work out what Jane is, or is doing, at this time they were always on point. Lets not forget they also launched the careers of Redman and Das-EFX.
