Willie D Pleads Guilty To Wire Fraud

Houston rapper Willie D pleaded guilty on Friday (Dec. 18) to wire fraud, according to the Associated Press.

The Geto Boys member admitted to having sold iPhones, in addition to other electronics, under the guise of a company called Texas One. He would sell the devices online, and then not deliver them.

According to investigators, the rapper, born William James Dennis, made approximately $132,000 via the scam.
Willie D faces up to 20 years in prison. He will be sentenced on April 23. He is currently out on bond.

Killa Sha & Large Pro!

Fact: Killa Sha's 2007 album God Walks On Water was certifiably dope!
So the fact that this youtube video has only been viewed 600 times, while "Lonely Slut 52" or whoever has copped 5 million views pains me no end. Enjoy.

Go And Kiss My Mistletoe! Part 2

I know everyone has probably seen or heard those first few christmas songs i put up, so i thought why not get a little more obscure with it. Christmas rap could well have been a sub genre during the eighties with many MC's of the era putting thier own spin on a carol or story, even Eazy-E got in on the action for a minute there.
So throw out your ma duke's Bing Crosby Christmas collection, get rid of your sisters "All I Want For Christmas" cd single and if your old man has anything in his collection, hide that shit! You know it can't be good.
Run Royal have your yuletide audio needs on lock.... Enjoy!

Oh, and a ho-muthafukin-ho again.

Eazy-E; Merry Mothafuckin' Xmas

King Sun; Christmas In The City

Audio Two: Christmas Rhymin'

Spyder D; Ghetto Santa

Go And Kiss My Mistletoe!

Yuletide salutations to all our loyal followers, we hope the season finds you well.
Here's a few treats from a far simpler time to get you in the mood for the celebrations this time of year brings.
Now, it might just be me but nothing says christmas like Darryl Mac performing without his trademark Cazelles or Doug E Fresh poking his head through Moe Dee's legs and bustin' a beatbox routine, or what about Kurtis Blow "Christmas Rappin" live on Top Of The Pops in 1980.
Ain't no tinsel and candy-caines around the Runroyal.com offices. No sir-ree! We Keeps it hardbody son.
Ho fuckin ho.

Christmas In Hollis Live; Run DMC

Beat Street Christmas Rap; The Treacherous Three & Doug E Fresh

Christmas Rappin live on Top Of The Pops; Kurtis Blow

2880 Minutes With With The Chef

I'm sure everyone already knows that we don't mind a bit of the Chef Raekwiz around here at The Royal Rundown, so its no suprise that OB4CL2 rates amongst my favourite few albums this year.
Anyway, i might be a bit behind the times but i found these gems amongst my youtube trawllings. 48 hours with Lex Diamonds himself following the release of the biggest album of his career. Allow me to clarify: By biggest i mean most important in ascertaining his real relevance after several years of sub-par albums and patchy mix-tape releases.
With no further ado, 48 hours with Raekwon following the release of Only Built For Cuban Links 2.

Samwell Cavar - The Break Down

A mix of Australian Hip Hop tracks and the Original Samples.

Download HERE

Enjoy.

The Exxecution

If Double Barrel with Torae wasn't enough for you it looks like Marco Polo's been busy smashing them grey pads, coffee and newports to entirely produce an album with bucktowner & affiliate boot camp clicker Ruste Juxx.
I'm not a huge fan of old Ruste to be honest. Who the fuck pulls a rusty robbery? Or stabs a fellow brother with a rusty shank? Shits beside the point but I could have named countless others on the duck down roster, namely "P" that would have given this project a bit more lift.
All the same you cant front on MPs production. A hopefull kick off to the first half of 2010 for Duck Down eh.

More of the rusty robbery/stabbings

Real Talk!

"You can't put a Lil Wayne or a Jay-Z up there with a Melle Mel or a Rakim or a......."
A little bit more on that whole G.O.A.T. ( Greatest Of All Time) thing that i seem to be so hung up on. This time it's some real talk from everyone's favourite backpackin' bohemian broccoli eatin' crew, Souls Of Mischief.
I'm really only posting this because they put Ice Cube on the list, and you know that sits nice with me.

On a side note, i honestly think its only posterity thats kept Souls relevant. We all look back fondly on that one album. Where as in reality that one album ('93 Til Infinity) probably would've been better titled '93 Til Sometime Mid '96.
I can't front though, i dug most that old Hiero shit back in the day.

Skyzoo: The Beautiful Decay

I copped this album just recently and while i'm not overly keen on 9th Wonder's production i'm definately feelin' this joint right here.

Salute

Last Thursday I had the opportunity to see the sidewalk executives, M.O.P in Byron Bay throw down one of the best live performance I've seen to date. Regardless of the numbers being as dismal as they were they were, Fame and Billy got it in from jump. I comparison to Monch on Saturday and I quote from my man's Jake "Couldn't have been as good as those two grown brutes making gun noises on stage". Not to take anything away from the Queens native. Jake's right. Ain't much comin close to a portly Brooklyn Brownsvillan with a gold grill overbite scream "FIRE!!"at ya front row.

Break Of The Week

Ill have some flix of the M.O.P Byron show up in the next few days. C-Dubbs has been rather laxed on the blog tip over here so I'll post these up on his behalf..
